Assistant Project Manager

Geosam is a private investment, real estate development and management firm with operations in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Texas. We own and manage several commercial and residential properties and have many exciting new land development and construction projects underway. As the Assistant Project Manager, you will assist with overseeing land development projects from inception to completion by utilizing a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and effective communication abilities to navigate the complexities of each project. Specific responsibilities vary depending on the nature and scope of the project, but generally include:

  • Planning and pre-development,
  • team management,
  • budgeting and financial management,
  • design and engineering oversight,
  • construction management,
  • risk management,
  • closeout and turnover,
  • shareholder communication,
  • work in the office and travel to active development sites as required,
  • and other responsibilities/assignments based on experience.

Requirements

To be successful within the Geosam team, you must be tenacious, willing to work hard and able to pivot often. You bring a ‘can-do’, self-start motivation, and a pragmatic, outside the box thinking. You will also possess the following qualifications:

  • Business/Real Estate/Construction/Civil Technology degree/diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in real estate, construction and/or project management is an asset.
  • A proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously as well as an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, complex environment
  • Strong negotiation, problem solving and relationship-building skills
  • Strong finance and business acumen
  • Highly organized and detail orientated.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Excel skill: Intermediate to advanced
