As the Land Development Director, you will oversee and manage the land development and construction process for all residential and commercial development projects from concept through approvals to completion of project. This will include contract negotiation, budgets, project plans, obtaining permits and ensuring work is in compliance with city/county land development codes and regulations. As well, you will oversee, coordinate and monitor outside consultants and contractors including civil, traffic, and geotechnical engineers, surveyors, etc. You will regularly travel to our projects anywhere within 1.5 hours of Downtown Atlanta.
For this role, we are looking for someone who has a minimum of five years of experience in land development and horizontal construction. As well, experienced coaching and developing a team. For education, a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or Construction or equivalent discipline.
To be successful in this role, you are tenacious, willing to work hard and challenge the status quo. You bring a ‘can-do’, self-start motivation, and have a desire to hit and exceed goals with your follow through on commitments. You enjoy moving between overseeing projects and being hands on as required. And you have a passion for real estate development and seeing projects though to completion.
